| Ian van der Merwe Has a heart to see people loving Jesus, committed to a local church and expressing His life in the marketplace. He is the area pastor of New Germany, Pinetown, Marianridge and Queensburgh. Ian oversees the Homelife and Marketplace Ministries, as well as sitting on the boards of Restoration of Hope Ministries, Transformation Marianridge and the finance boards of His Church and Kloof Harvest. Further to this, he represents His Church on the Pinetown and Marianridge Fraternals. Ian is married to Cheryl and they have three children Sarah, Matthew and Nathan. |
Grant Lloyd Loves God's house and His people and is focused on getting His Kingdom purposes fulfilled outside the four walls of the church. He oversees all local and international missions, as well as Alpha at His Church. Grant also has oversight of His Church School, Grace Place and pastors the Upper Highway Area, as well the French Connection, a church service for Central African Refugees. Grant is married to Illana and they have three children Adam, Olivia and Zac. |

| Simon Hemsley Has a passion for the church to be ‘FULLY ALIVE LIKE CHRIST’ and for everyone, both young and old, to press in to see the cause of Jesus and His Church become their greatest pursuit. He wants to see young people ruthlessly trusting God without promised success. Simon, along with Ches, pastors the Durban and Westville Areas as well as Young Adults and oversees the Men’s ministry, Real Men, with Mark Burgess. Simon is married to Cheslyn and they have two sons Reuben and Levi. |
Cheslyn Hemsley Wants to inspire people to NEVER SETTLE! She is passionate about the House of God and wants to make it the best place in the world for people to be. She shares oversight with Simon over the Westville and Durban Areas as well as the Young Adults (Yesterday's Future), the volunteers, the coffee shop, new visitors, moms and babies and all church functions. She oversees the women's ministry, Beautiful Women, with Charlene Burgess and the Seniors Ministry with Rae Balmer. Cheslyn is married to Simon and they have two sons Reuben and Levi. |

| Crystal Head Adores Jesus and lives to be a part of unleashing a TECHNICOLOUR, ALL AGES, Creative Army who make Jesus loud with their lives, gifts and purity! She oversees His Kids, Future Peeps, Realife Youth, the Media Department, Creativity, His Church School Chaplaincy, Sunday Night LIVE and the PURE campaign. She also represents His Church on the Highway Youth Fraternal. Crystal is married to Chris and they have two children Josiah and Georgie. |

Make Us Your Home
To make His Church your home, it's pretty simple. We would love to get to know you better and spend some time with you as an individual. We do a membership course called "Heaven on Earth" 4 times a year, which explains who we are and what we believe. At this short course we have two teachings, with dinner and coffee in the break, and spend time speaking to you about you and about us!
This all happens between 6 and 8pm, from a Monday to a Thursday, four times a year. Please listen out on Sundays when we will announce the date of the next course. We are looking forward to meeting with you!
Our Vision
At His Church, we want to see people of all colours, ages and genders coming together for the same reason and purpose, which is to bring change to our communities through Jesus Christ. We are on a mission to use our gifts in business, education, sports, the arts and media and every other God-given capability to increase the Kingdom of God, in every sphere of life. At His Church, worship and the Word are two of our main focal points as we strongly believe that through these mediums, change will come which will affect people's lives eternally. In short, our purpose is to know Him, our goal is to please Him, and our focus is eternity.
What Do We Believe
We believe that serving God as Christians is the most fulfilling and exciting thing any person can do. Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross to save us from our sins, because every person alive needs a Savior. He sent the Holy Spirit to transform our lives so that no matter what our previous lives entailed, He will heal and restore us, and give us a second chance at life. That is what being born again means. We praise and worship Him exuberantly because we know Him personally and believe He can change anyone's life by the power of His word. How Do We Handle Money
Jesus took money very seriously and so do we! We at His Church make sure that we are audited annually by a reputable accounting firm. We are a public benefit organization, and all the money decisions are run through a finance board. Being good stewards is at the top of our priority list, and we have a whole lot of legal regulations in place to make sure that everything happens in the right way.
